Magnetic Display

Happy almost Thanksgiving! I am excited to celebrate with both of our famlies this Thanksgiving. But instead of cleaning the house, I will post about my lastest project! ;)

My 25th birthday was on Monday (woohoo!) and my assistant got me a gift card to Lowes. Does she know me or not?! So excited! One of the things I picked up was this piece of sheet metal

It was about $5.00, and is 12″ by 12″ square. I then covered it in Mod-podge, and carefully placed a piece of white scrapbook paper on top. The next day, I put some vinyl art that I got on clearance at Kohls:
Isn’t it sweet? Then, I put another layer of Mod-podge on top. I then hot-glued some brown ribbon onto the back…

Now, you could leave it like this and use cute magnets to attach pictures, memos, etc. I might just do that once the craft fair is over! BUT, I wanted a cute way to display my magnets at my upcoming craft fair, so I turned it into this!:

Yay! I really like how whimsical it is! I just used some scrap paper & scrapbooking letters, and I taped it on, so it can be removed easily later. What do you think…would this make you more excited to buy the magnets?

I love mod podge and live by the stuff. I don't know if you know all the cool little tricks with it. I know I don't- but I do know that if you use a blow dryer it helps with bubbling. If you already know that and know other tips you should totally blog about that too someday! ;) HAHA! I love this idea! So cute!!
