I think there’s a theme here…we had another snow day today, and I made another pillow!
This pillow is much more “formal” than my other pillows I have been making, and I tackled a zipper this time! I was ready to throw it across the room a few times, but I think it’s very pretty now that it’s finished
I attached flowers I made using a tutorial I posted a few days ago, just using “pearls” instead of the vintage buttons
This is the bottom of the pillow:

And here she is! Don’t you think she’s elegant?! I will confess…I originally cut the fabric too small (on the top and the bottom) and didn’t realize until I had already sewn the zipper on. SO, I improvised, and paired the black silk with the gray fabric…and I think it’s better for it! Then I had to idea to add the flowers, and I am proud with how she turned out
And now I can simply sell it as a pillow COVER on my Etsy shop, and I don’t have to worry about the extra shipping costs to ship the whole pillow! Yay!

I think it turned out fabulous! I love the black on it and the flowers are perfect with it!
LOVE IT…. omg. you are AMAZING! i took pics of the beautiful pillow you made in our living room but it's been quite a week with my kiddies- no energy for blogging- will post it soon.
We'll have to talk zippers- great idea not to ship the pillow! Talk with you soon!
That looks fabulous! And I think that was a good mistake! The first time I was working with a zipper I wanted to throw my project across the room too! lol Thanks for linking up dear!
This pillow is awesome! Really it is so pretty and would look great anywhere.
Great Job!!
Thanks for linking up at Under My Umbrella. I need to make one of these pillows soon. Love the flowers and the pearls are the perfect touch! Nice work!
Gorgeous pillow! Kudos to you for not giving up! I love how you paired the two colors!
Gorgeous!! No one would know the two colors was a oops…it looks intentional and right.
Wow – I love the material you have chosen for this pillow
