If you read ANY blog, you’re reminded ALL the time that Valentines Day is coming. I love romance, and love, BUT I really don’t like pinks, reds, and hearts. I just don’t! I wanted to make a romantic, wintry, vignette to quasi-decorate for Valentines Day. Here’s how it turned out:
See that book bundle? I knocked it off for $2.75 instead of paying $25 from Ballard Designs. Here’s their books:
and here’s mine:
I can honestly say that I like mine better! (Tutorial to come tomorrow…)
Simple, thrifty, and romantic. I can honestly say that I love it
Tell me – does anyone share the same feelings towards Valentines day decorating? Or am I just a big scrooge?

*wink*
I LOVE your vignette. The simplicity and elegance of it really appeals to me. ~Alana~
Lovely and romantic vignette! You did a great job on the books. Cheers!Tina
I love how simple and easy this is to do, not only that but it looks amazing!
I share the same feelings but I'm decorating anyway haha. I think it's because I'm a blogger now

Nice! I don't do Valentine's Day decorating but it sounds like fun. I really want some flowers growing in the house right now. Might have to "request" that from my sweetie!

Beautiful! I love seeing all of the "Ballard knock offs" here in blog land. It makes me happy because I drool over their stuff too! Why would anyone pay that much when you can make it yoruself and make it better?!

I'm with you, Christina! I don't go for the "cutesy" Valentine décor either. I can honestly say, "I love your romantic vignette, as well!"

I LOVE your very romantic vignette!! No, I don't decorate for Valentines Day. I think all the stuff everyone's doing is cute…it's just not me. Could be because I've been divorced for, oh, like 7 years with one bad relationship stuck in there somewhere. LOL
