Cloche Make-over

I’ve seen a million cloches over the blogs in the past year…and I finally got my own :)

Of course, it didn’t start out this cute.  I found it at the thrift store for $2.90 looking like this:

Mmm…doesn’t that make you want to just put some cheese on that old grimy board?  *gross*

But, after a good scrubbing, I primed the bottom:

And then I spray-painted it with some leftover paint from the hardware on my favorite furniture re-do ever (my desk!)

Then, I just put the top back on, cut a circle out of some scrapbook paper, tied a ribbon on top, and added some sweet birds I got from Michaels for $1 a piece…

Perfect touch for my spring vignette!  (click to see the other thrifty pieces…)

Check out some other cloches from some awesome blogs…

It adds such a sweet "spring" feel to your quaint vignette, Christina. And it will be so much fun to decorate with each season. ;) Thanks for linking to the party. By the way, your "girly desk" was my favorite, too! That's why I featured it on Talented Time Travelers.Hugs,Liz @ the Brambleberry Cottagehttp://thebrambleberrycottage.blogspot.com/
