Pretty Button Organization

I love buttons.  LOVE buttons.  I will admit, that I don’t use them for projects very often…but I really love looking at them.

I bought a huge bag of buttons at ReStore a few months ago for $1.00.  I am sure they came from some old lady’s house.

I separated them all out by colors…

I got these glasses at the thrift store for 50 cents a piece…

Then I filled them up…lined them up in my new craft space…and here they are!!

Buttons make me so happy! :)  I think this is the perfect “decoration” for my craft space!
Am I the only one who loves buttons so much?  How do you organize your buttons?!

I borrowed buttons from my M-I-L & used them as decoration at my first craft fair/flea market last year. I divided them by color in mason jars, just like tlateach! :) I had several people ask if they were for sale!

Perfect way to organize! I don't have as many buttons as you. I keep them all in a single jar, which means pouring them all out to search for the right colors ;-) -caroline @ c.w.frosting

I am LOVING your button display. I must show my husband this post because he thought I was crazy when I bought a bunch of buttons and separated them by color ha ha. Unfortunately I am not as creative as you so I just stashed them in a divided box in the laundry room. P.S. I found you through Finding Fabulous

oh my goodness I love buttons too! I have never stumbled across a treasure trove like that – you are one lucky girl! I like to scatter buttons and beads across a buffet tablecloth or add them in a jar (sort of like your stemware) for another table grouping. I mostly use mine for gift wrapping or Christmas baubles. So need to stock up! Your collection is so fabulous :)

I too love buttons. Over 25 years ago I inherited my great aunts' button basket. She had owned an exclusive ladies dress shop and the basket was filled to the brim with amazing buttons. I have bought many estate sewing tins and baskets since then but none are as wonderful as Aunt Margarets. Yours are cute and sassy!

Your display is so attractive! I LOVE buttons, too. Have been collecting for about 15 years. I have multi-colored buttons displayed in an antique glass coffee pot and clear glass rolling pins in my kitchen. Also, love the color red and have all red buttons in a clear glass vase, with a heart-shaped cloth flower on a wire stem and a cloth flower yoyo on a wire stem “planted” in the buttons in the vase. I like to find interesting glass-shaped containers in which to display buttons. Also I have buttons stored in glass jars in the basement, waiting for the next project to use them :)

  29. Love it! What a fun storage solution.
