A little over 4 years ago, my husband and I got married in one of my FAVORITE cities ever – Bethlehem, PA. It’s a beautiful and quaint town full of history. We would love to visit Bethlehem often, but unfortunately we only get there a few times a year. I texted my husband while he was at work the other day asking if he could take me out on a date to Bethlehem that night. Of course he said yes! But we couldn’t figure out where to eat…
Fast forward a few hours: we’re driving to Bethlehem. We hadn’t made reservations anywhere, because we couldn’t decide on a place that both of us wanted to eat. Finally it hit me – I NEED PAD THAI. Right now. (Please tell me I’m not the only one who gets hit with these cravings? I’m a little nervous about what I’ll be like when I’m pregnant…)
I pulled out my iPad, used the new YP app – and used their menu-item search to figure out where I could get Pad Thai in Bethlehem, and I prayed it would come up with something.
It brought me right to Thai Thai – an amazing Thai restaurant right on Main Street in Bethlehem. We rushed there, and thankfully we didn’t need a reservation. Also very lucky (for them) – we didn’t need to wait to be seated. I might have tried to steal some Pad Thai from someone else’s plate if we had to wait!
What I also got so excited about was that this restaurant was a BYOB – and we had brought wine because we were *hoping* that we could find a BYOB restaurant in Bethlehem! Score!
Our waiter was super-friendly, and he may have sensed that I was ravenous, because my Pad Thai came out within 5 minutes of our order!
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G
Honestly, the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had! I can eat a lot, but I could only finish 1/2 of this! My husband got the drunken noodles, and he loved them too. We loved it so much, we made sure to review it through the YP app so everyone else could know how amazing this place is!
We stayed for a little while and enjoyed the atmosphere, and then we took a walk around Bethlehem to walk off the wine see the town. We even tried to take a picture, but sadly, my husband’s hands are too shaky to take a clear picture. *sigh* Also unfortunate? The fact that my hair can’t hold a style in the 95 degree heat with 100% humidity. *double sigh*
We didn’t need to fill up on the way back, but if we were running low on gas, I found out that we could easily use the YP app to search for the lowest gas prices in the area. How helpful is that?! I know I want a chance to save money whenever I can – every dollar helps!
Since I’m obviously a huge fan of food and the restaurants that serve great food – I used the YP app to review 9 other local restaurants. If you’re local, you should definitely check them out so you know where to plan your next date night!
