I have literally been dreaming of FALL lately – and I know I’m not alone! Since I am not returning to my classroom this year, I no longer have the knot in my stomach of anxiety when August comes around. Fall can actually be enjoyed this year! However, I am getting when I remember that there’s certain things about summer I’m taking for granted right now…
I’ll miss picking fresh strawberries & blueberries at my favorite farm:
I’ll miss driving by fresh sunflower fields every day:
And these signs you could just drive right past:
I’ll miss stopping by “my” produce stand 2 times a week:
I’ll miss scouting for squirrels with Buckley:
I’ll miss having a glass of wine outside with my hubby after dinner:
Or beer – I’m not picky
I’ll miss hiking here:
I’ll miss prime spray-painting weather:
Even though I only went for two days this summer – I’ll miss the beach:
So yes, I am excited for fall. But I couldn’t get too excited without reflecting on the things that make summer so special!
What are YOU going to miss about summer?

Honestly? I’m not missing anything about summer. This one has been different than usual, so we didn’t do the normal summer stuff we usually do. That makes it pretty easy to be glad its over and already start dreaming of fall and Christmas

oh my goodness, what LOVELY summer pleasures! almost enough to make me want to turn right back around into summer, even though my favorite season is definitely fall. What will I miss most? The smell of t-shirts worn swimming, because that brings it all back in a single solitary moment

I am definitely going to the miss farmers market and fresh produce! There is nothing like fresh corn and other produce from the market each week.
