I cannot tell you HOW excited I am to share this with you! If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you know that I’ve been working on this project for a while now!
We’re living in a basement apartment in my parent’s house right now, and it’s wonderful! But there was this eyesore outside of our bedroom window. After my parents added an addition onto their house a few years ago, it left the space under the deck looking like this:
But now, the space looks like this!
And we added the picnic table & some fall decorations -
This make-over took a lot of time. These tutorials will be coming up shortly:
-
Board & Batten shutters
-
Cedar Planked Wall (tutorial here)
-
Window make-over
But today is just about showing the pretty pictures – and how I’m simply decorating it for fall!
Of course, mums just scream “fall”! I love them in this planter from Lowe’s:
Since this picnic table was big, I needed some big decorations for the middle. I also needed them to be durable and weather resistant.
I bought pumpkins from my favorite local farm, and spray-painted them. I swear, the neighbors think I’m crazy
But I seriously love that metallic look on the big pumpkin! And that gourd’s color was just too pretty to paint over.
Those big glass vases were from Ross, and so were the candles. The rocks are from the dollar store!
Buckley also loves the new space – even though he was very nervous to sit for this picture for some reason!
I also love how cozy it looks at night
So what do you think?! Are you excited to see all of the tutorials on how we transformed this space? Have you ever spray-painted pumpkins before? How are you decorating for fall outdoors?
