I’ve mentioned before – I’m not so big into the whole “pink and red” Valentine’s Day decorations. I think it’s super cute when other people do it, but it just doesn’t fit with my style and décor in my home. But I decided to make a last-minute neutral Valentine vignette that I will be able to keep up way past Valentine’s Day!
Isn’t it so pretty? I think candles are so romantic, so I added a bunch of neutral candles that I had around my house.
I made this book page flower (tutorial coming soon!), and everything else was thrifted (wooden frame & metal candleholder) or bought at Michael’s (flower candleholder, candles, vase).
The most fun part of this vignette to me is the frame that I want to have my hubby and I write notes to each other on. I painted a thrifted frame with some Martha Steward gold liquid gilding, and filled it with some white paper and book pages to tie it into the book page flower. I added some scrapbook letters, and now my hubby and I can write love notes to each other with dry erase markers!
What do you think? Do you go all-out with the pink and red, or would you be more willing to try a neutral colored Valentine vignette?
