We’re so busy working on our new house, that we really haven’t been paying attention to poor baby #2. I feel so guilty, but I know that once he/she comes in May, we will be devoting LOTS of time to him/her! However, Isaac & I attended a Graco® event and I got all giddy and excited thinking about holding this precious new life that will be in my arms so soon! We took some time to learn about a product that I’m pretty sure is going to be my new best friend. Although this is a sponsored post, please know that I have *always* been a huge Graco® fan – almost all of the products we bought for Isaac 2 years ago were Graco® products! This one is definitely my new favorite though!
Graco® Pack ‘n Play® Playard Nearby Napper™
This isn’t just a pack & play – it’s got a changer, vibrating and musical bassinet/napper, and mobile. I love products that have multiple uses – then you don’t have to buy three separate items (hello perfect baby shower gift!)
I will be honest – my favorite part of this is the removable napper/bassinet. I can already tell you that baby #2 is going to live in this for quite a few months!
You might remember that Isaac battled some nasty reflux issues. We went through a period of time where we bought all different kinds of sleepers/rockers/swings/etc. to try to get the kid to sleep. It was rough. When we finally realized that he had reflux, we read that having him sleep on an incline could really help his discomfort. While he didn’t turn into a miracle sleeper, he definitely got better with an inclined surface!
Going into life with baby #2, I’m now prepared that we could have another reflux-y baby (but I’m SO praying that we don’t!!) and this inclined napper is going to be a lifesaver! It can go on top of the pack & play or it can easily come off and become it’s own little rocker. I am planning on having this by our bed during those newborn days like I did with Isaac – it made those middle of the night feedings so much easier!
Oh, and thankfully it locks into place when it’s on top of the pack & play so busy and curious toddlers (AKA my son…) won’t be able to flip it:
Isn’t it awesome? I made up a little video about the event – make sure you check it out here!
The event was really fun – I had my mom come with us because I didn’t trust myself to truck Isaac out 1.5 hours away from home, and I didn’t know how my rambunctious 18 month old would handle himself at such an event. Thankfully, he did a great job! Any event that involves plenty of food is a “win” in his book (he must get that from his mama!)
It was so nice to meet other local bloggers, and I got to see my friend Lauren (she writes at Heart of Deborah) with her sweet little girl – these two were born on the same day! How fun is that?
The party was held at Erica’s lovely home (she writes at No Sleep Til College). Although I hate to admit it, I always get super nervous to attend events like this. Thankfully, this one was great! Everyone was friendly and it was so nice to just be in a relaxed home atmosphere.
I’m soaking up days like this with one kid – because we know our lives are going to be turned upside down once again when baby #2 comes in a few short months!
At least I know I’ll have an awesome start with this Graco® Pack ‘n Play® Playard Nearby Napper™
