I’ve been seeing adorable wood bead garlands showing up on some of my most favorite Instagram accounts lately. I love this trend – it brings neutral texture and interest to your space.
As much as I LOVE buying from Etsy sellers and supporting their businesses, I figured I could pretty easily make this project myself. It took less than 10 minutes and cost me $16 for two strands.
Wood bead garland supplies:
Honestly? Easiest process ever. Just loop your bead on the twine at the beginning so it doesn’t slip off, and then string all of your beads on! You could have your kids help you with this project!
You could add a tassel with anything you have around the house – I personally like this one because it’s all neutral. I used some leftover yarn and some pieces I cut up from an old drop cloth.
I made 2 strands with 50 beads each, so they’re about 4 feet long each.
One of the strands has a tassel on the end an one of the other ones has loops with the twine.
And hey, if you don’t want to make one, there’s no judgement here! You can find some beautiful handmade wood bead garlands here too.
