Fall is here! I am welcoming the crisp morning air, an overload of pumpkins and the early mums. I had so much fun decorating our home for fall this year, I took a lot of pictures. I thought it would be best for me to break this up into two parts – so here’s part 1 of my fall house tour!
Affiliate links are shared for your convenience. I also included a shopping guide at the bottom of this post so you can easily see where I purchased items from this room.
PS – a little reminder. Remember when the room looked like this? Crazy it was less than 2 years ago! See all of our before & after transformations here!
Our family room has been kind of neglected since we moved in. I put some wall decorations in the room when we first moved in, but knew they weren’t going to be there forever. I hung these lanterns and I am kind of in love with how they feel in the room:
I made something to go above our couch with leftover Stikwood from our hallway ceiling (see that whole transformation here).
I added my cotton wreath – see more about it here and my favorite online farmhouse wreath sources too!
I just added some pumpkins to this bowl, because, let’s be honest…my kids have emptied out whatever’s on the coffee table in the first 5 minutes of every day!
On the other side of the room, I had fun styling our table with some pretty fall items:

I added some color, texture and pattern on the table and I love how it turned out!
I changed out the peonies from my DIY wood mason jar holder for cotton stalks, and got a new plant stand too:
Above our TV, I blew the dust off of my DIY book page wreath and hung it up again. I love the added warmth of the sconces on either side!
You can see my other farmhouse fall display in the background – see my 5 simple steps to style a farmhouse display here.
I also added a little fall farmhouse flair to our hallway:
more details on this “Autumn” sign coming soon!
Thank you for coming in and seeing my fall decor! I’ll be sharing some fall touches in our kitchen and bedroom next!

Can I ask where you got your crazy comfortable couch?
Christina says
Hey Kitty! We got our couch from Raymour & Flanigan a few years ago – here’s a link with more information/pictures on it 🙂 http://porch.com/christinasadventures/craftsman_family_room/

Thank you so much, Valerie! My old e-mail service didn’t do a great job & e-mails ended up in spam a lot – hopefully you can get my content easier now! 🙂 And thank you so much for your kind words <3
