We moved into our house in April, and had our second child in May (a few days after we finished our kitchen makeover!)
This kitchen makeover was done 90% by ourselves, and was one of the biggest changes in the whole house. We LOVE this room, and it is so heavily used!
That post is when we just finished it up, and got it all staged for pictures. Look through the #1902Kitchen pictures on my Instagram to get a true feeling of how the room looks and functions now.
We took a little bit of time “off” to adjust to life as a family of four (crazy I tell ya!) Then we went back in full steam ahead! We tackled the master bedroom next:
Our little girl’s nursery was finished a few months after she was born. We used vintage, new and thrifted pieces. I love the neutral color palette with some touches of soft pink:
The next room we refinished was our office. This room is downstairs and has an open doorway to our family room, so we had to make sure it was functional and looked great too. We used vertical space and got creative with making organizational systems on our walls:
We didn’t move walls (or replace them) in any of our other rooms, but we had to in our small bathroom. If you read the post you’ll see – it was BAD. Rotted floors & salmon pink laminate walls…it’s gotten a major facelift!
The last makeover of 2015 was my son’s bedroom. We went with a vintage sports bedroom – a room that will really be able to grow with him! I love that dark navy on top of our DIY board & batten walls – it looks so sharp in this room:
Whew. We took a breather and celebrated Christmas in our new home. It was so much fun decorating our house for Christmas!
Finally – we finished our farmhouse hallway. I fell in LOVE with our wood ceilings in this hallway – see all of the pictures here!
